Statistics for the whole year place UK at fourth place for the country with the greatest number of tourist arrivals to the Maldives, with 38,285 visitors having checked in at the end of November.
While Maldives welcomed a record breaking 1.7 million tourists in 2019, this includes 114,222 arrivals from the UK (fifth spot) and is a 10 percent increase from the previous year.
