Civil Court had decreed that the dismissal cases of Dhiggaru Constituency MP Ahmed Faris Maumoon and Maumoon faction Deputy Leader Abdullah Riyaz will be held in absentia, as PPM had refused to attend the hearings.
Civil Court said that PPM had not attended any hearings since the hearings began.
On Thursday’s hearings both Faris and Nadira had given their statements with the Court granting them opportunity to present evidence.
Faris was booted from the Party for having failed to follow the three-line whip issued by the Party on the amendments to the Tourism Act. Faris had voted against the amendments.
