The national basketball team has begun practices for the SABA championship.
The SABA Championship is a regional basketball tournament organized by the South Asia Basketball Association.
The team will first undergo their fitness tests and physical training, which longstanding coach Wimal Supun will oversee.
Supun will have prominent players Ilyas Ibrahim, Mohamed Nazeer, and Ahmed Faisal.
Maldives had won the silver medal for last year’s SABA championship, held in India.
