Asian Table Tennis Championship Maldives
Mohamed Zeesth Naseem and Aishath Rafa Nazim have defeated their Kyrgyzstani competitors by three straight sets in the ongoing Asian Championship.
However, Moosa Munsif and Fathimath Jumana’s mixed doubles entry against Singapore pair failed, having been defeated by three sets to one.
The individual rounds of the tournament will begin on Thursday, with the mixed doubles rounds proceeding up to Wednesday.
Based on the performance of this tournament, Maldives will be granted the opportunity to participate in next year’s World Championship.
