I’m with President Maumoon, will stay this way: MP Saud

MP Saud, the latest defection to the opposition movement against incumbent President Yameen, has stated that President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom is still the President of PPM.

Speaking to RaajjeTV’s “60 minutes” program, confirming his defection, MP Saud said that he still believes that President Maumoon is the legitimate leader of the Party, as he was the one who was democratically elected to leadership.

Therefore, he said he would support all the work carried out by President Maumoon in his capacity as President of the Party. Adding that it would be impossible to erase Maumoon’s service to the nation, MP Saud said he will fully participate in the current activities run by President Maumoon.
