Heavy showers flood streets of Malé
The Maldives Meteorological Services said that 86.0 milliliters of rain had fallen on the Velaana International Airport
It further said that regions in central and northern Maldives will still experience heavy showers for next twenty-four hours
Winds in these regions will blow between 5 to 15 miles per hour

Heavy showers since early Saturday morning have flooded the streets capital city Malé.

The Maldives Meteorological Services said that 86.0 milliliters of rain had fallen on the Velaana International Airport, only a ten-minute ferry ride from the capital, between 05:30 to 9:00.

The Meteorological Service further said that regions in central and northern Maldives will still experience heavy showers for next twenty-four hours. 

Winds in these regions will blow between 5 to 15 miles per hour.
