The Fifth Hitachi Inter-Office and Company Handball Tournament 2020 has successfully concluded on Wednesday.
This year's tournament was also split into two divisions for both men and women.
While a total of five teams' participated in the Men's First Division of the tournament, the championship title was succeeded by the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF). MNDF won the title after defeating Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) in the finals held on Wednesday night with a score of 30-27. The best player of the final match was awarded to MNDF's Ahmed Najeeb.
A total of 14 teams participated in the Men's Second Division of the tournament. State Trading Organization plc (STO) won the championship title of the second division during Wednesday's finals against Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) with a score of 23-14. The best player of the match was awarded to STO's Ahmed Razunee.
Additionally, a total of 25 teams competed in the women's second division of the tournament. Maldives Immigration won the finals against MPL with a score of 18-6 and won the championship title. The best player of the match was awarded to Aishath Reem from Maldives Immigration.
The Fifth Hitachi Inter-Office and Company Handball Tournament 2020 was held from February 1st - 26th.
