Gov't opens membership opportunity at ECM

The government has opened membership opportunity for the Elections Commission of the Maldives (ECM).
The announcement was made by the President’s Office on Monday.
Applications were opened as the term of a current member of the commission will come to an end on 23 March 2020.
Applications will be accepted through the President’s Office and that deadline for applications is set at 2pm on 27 January, a Monday.
Further, application forms have been made available through the President’s Officewebsitefor download, and forms are also available at their front desk.
While membership opportunity has been opened, preparations for the Local Council Elections, slated for April 2020, are currently underway at the commission.
