Dhiraagu Premiere League: TC secures easy win against Green

TC Sports Club has emerged victorious against Club Green Street during Wednesday’s match in the ongoing Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League.
The team won against Green players during the match played at the national stadium with a score of 2 – 0.
At the beginning of the match, both teams showed an equal performance, however, both teams also lost several opportunities to score.
Green Street player Yameen had the opportunity to take the lead on the 31st minute of the game, however, it was to no avail. While his first attempt was dodged by TC’s goalkeeper, another opportunity rose for him two minutes later, which also went down the drains.
At the 37th minute of the game, TC’s Ishan Ibrahim directed an attempt, but the ball hit the goal post, thwarting the team’s opportunity to take the lead.
The second half of the match began vibrantly for the winning team, who scored the first goal 53 minutes in during a penalty.
The team scored its winning goal in the 90th minute.
Speaking after the match, TC’s coach highlighted that this was the biggest achievement for the team after he assumed the post.
While Green Street comes third on the league table with 26 points, TC is at its tail with 25 points.
After a brief hiatus of two months, the Dhiraagu Dhivehi League began on 16th December. The league was discontinued for several reasons throughout this year.
