BML opens self-service banking branch in Velidhoo island
Customers may deposit funds on a round-the-clock basis through the center
Currently, three branches and three service centers have been stationed in Noonu atoll
BML aims to provide aid to smaller and medium-sized enterprises across the entire nation

The country’s national bank, Bank of Maldives (BML) has opened a self-service banking branch in Velidhoo island of Noonu atoll.

BML made the reveal via a statement, highlighting that the service has been provided across the island for the first time and that their services are currently provided through three banking branches, three self-service banking ATMs and cash agents across the entire atoll.

With the opening of the center, the public as well as small and medium-sized enterprises will benefit from the round-the-clock services including deposits, transferring and easier payment.

Some of the other services made available at the bank include opening accounts, seeking personal and business loans as well as credit and debit card services.

The bank’s CEO and Managing Director Tim Sawyer expressed his satisfaction that their services are being expanded across the outlying atolls. He described the launching of the service as an important step under the bank’s investment program to expand their services, efficiently to the people

BML currently has 38 branches across 20 atolls, 50 self-service banking centers, 115 ATMs, 277 cash agents as well as online banking and aims to expand their services across the entire country.
