Reports of a case being filed at ACC "baseless," says Fenaka
Online news outlet "Dhiyares" reported that a corruption case against the state utilities company has been submitted to ACC

Fenaka Corporation Limited has denied that a case against the company has been filed at the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
In a statement released on Tuesday, Fenaka dismissed the report by online news site “Dhiyares” which claims that a corruption case against the state utilities company was submitted to ACC.
Noting that this report is “baseless”, Fenaka said that it was done to defame the company and tarnish its image.
The company further said that the report was published “without any attempts to clarify the matter.”
Further noting that this is “against responsible journalism,” Fenaka said that it believes that the purpose of the report is to create doubts within the public, slander the company and its senior officials and employees.
Fenaka assured that it will continue to be transparent in all its work.
The utilities company generates electricity and provides water systems to many outlying islands.
