Supreme Court to go into recess on Thursday
 
It is required to end its recess in case of a state of emergency
 
While in recess, the court will still accept cases and handle administrative tasks
 
The Supreme Court will be in recess until the first working day of January 2020

The Supreme Court will go into recess this month.

The court said that it will go into recess from the last working day of this month (November 28) to the first working day of January 2020.

However, it added that administrative work will continue during the period as well.

The Supreme Court is also required to end its recess in case a State of Emergency is declared under Article 253 of the Constitution.
