MP Nihan’s leaked audios slams fellow members at PPM

Audio clips of PPM Parliamentary Group Leader Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik has leaked on social media. In the leaked clips, MP Nihan slams the Members of Parliament from the Party for their inaction.
MP Nihan, a key lawmaker for the Party, says the Members of the Parliamentary Group lack courage, including MPs who make regular public appearances with the President.
“Even today I told one of them, that you were a person who left the last rally, saying that your wife needs you at home. [I told him] you have no shame” Nihan said.
Referring to the 21 nights of protests held during the tenure of former President Mohamed Nasheed, Nihan said they had to force some of the members to attend the protests. He said the most active MP then was Galolhu South MP Ahmed Mahloof, who is no longer with ruling PPM.
“Mahey [MP Mahloof] was the only one who did not complain. Mahey is not with us anymore. Ali Arif, Ilham, Riyaz Rasheed and I. Others do not come [willingly]. We have to beg to them. Even if they come, they will be at the back, will disappear later on,” Nihan said.
In the leaked audios, Nihan had also fired at MP Ali Saleem, stating that Saleem was one MP who consistently bailed from the protests. Nihan said that in spite of all this, the MPs now constantly flock to President Yameen.
When contacted by RaajjeTV, MP Nihan said that he did not wish to make any comments to the channel. He had not confirmed nor denied if the leaked audios were accurate.
The audio clips are clear indications of serious rifts within the Parliamentary Group, even with the issue of the no confidence motion against Parliament Speaker Abdullah Maseeh looming. Rumors have also spread that MPs are not content with President Abdullah Yameen as well.
