The Attorney General’s Office (AG Office) has said that it has given legal advice in 763 issues thus far.
This is within a 10-month duration, from November 2018 to September 2019.
While the new administration took office on 17th November 2018, it has issued legal advice to the President’s Office regarding 25 bills, as well as in 252 agreement cases and 97 cases regarding various regulations.
In addition, the AG Office gave legal counsel in 48 procedural issues and 11 cases regarding signing international treaties.
Despite releasing statistics of its work of the first 10 months, the AG Office did not disclose any further details including the counsel given. However, it has been disclosing details of public interest cases.
Out of the 763 issues, the AG Office had given legal advice in 502 cases from November 2018 to June and 261 from July to September.
