HPA advises to take health precautions over rainy weather

Health Protection Agency (HPA) has advised the public to take precautions over the rainy weather.

In a tweet on Tuesday, HPA highlighted the health risks the public need to be aware of due to the current worsening weather.

HPA advised adults to keep children away from flooded areas and to call the public health unit to clean any overfilled sewage junctions or septic tanks and to take precautions when draining floods and cleaning the streets.

HPA also advised people to keep their food and medicine in a safe location and maintain cleanliness, adding that clean water should be used for drinking, cooking, and washing.
