In partnership with Sparkhub and Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA), Dhiraagu hosted the first hackathon in July 2018.

Through this event, participants will gain intense experience and they will be introduced to new and innovative ideologies which paves way for their progress. Dhiraagu said that the reason they are holding the hackathon in the country is to introduce the young tech community to the startup culture and provide them with innovative digital solutions.

This year’s theme is “Innovators Rising” and brilliant minds across the nation joined to build, test and launch innovative solutions over the course of two days.

Angelhack initially began from San Francisco and has eventually made it to over 150 cities across the globe, paving innovative technologies for and inspiring developers, designers and entrepreneurs all over the world.

It is to proceed across six continents this year and the winner of the hackathon will get the chance to participate in the “Hackcelerator”, the global virtual pre-accelerator program which will proceed for 12 weeks.

The program focuses on youth empowerment and providing opportunities for the young community to attain their full potential and take on tomorrow through innovation.

AngelHack who ventures across the globe on a yearly basis, hosting hackathons, said that they aim to encourage developers to become all-inclusive developers.
