MP Jabir has proposed to question Minister Imran over the measures taken inside the police service to prevent such an incident

Kaashidhoo MP Abdulla Jabir has submitted a motion to question Home Minister Imran Abdulla on the security measures taken to prevent an incident similar to the political crisis that led to former President Nasheed’s forced resignation on February 7, 2012.

The parliament has sent the notice to Minister Imran.

Since police officers had mutinied and joined the riots during the political crisis, MP Jabir has proposed to question Minister Imran over the measures taken inside the police service to prevent such an incident.

Parliament earlier sent a notice to summon Minister Imran to question him over the delay in extraditing the 1988 coup leader Abdulla Luthufee from Sri Lanka.
