Maldives received the awards at the World Travel Awards Africa & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony at Sugar Beach – A Sun Resort in Mauritius.
Maldives won Indian Ocean’s Leading Honeymoon Destination, and defended its titles of Leading Beach Destination, and leading Dive Destination.
World Travel Awards acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries. the awards are recognized globally as the ultimate hallmarks of industry excellence.
Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has stated that winning such prestigious globally recognized awards will further increase Maldives’ popularity internationally.
MMPRC stated that it will continue to participate in international fairs and events to advertise Maldives.
