Addu City Council initiates cleanup initiative in time for Ramadan

A cleanup program has been initiated in Addu City in time for the fasting month of Ramadan.

Addu City Council initiated the cleanup event as its residents have been known for their love for a hygienic and clean ambiance before Ramadan approaches every year.

The council has partnered with the Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) in order to arrange waste disposal services at every doorstep in the city.

Households that wish to register in the waste disposal program may note their names at the offices of their respective districts.

The service will then be made available to households for one day, the council revealed. Households are urged to gather their waste in an organized way so as to make it easy for WAMCO officials to dispose them.
