CAM concludes inter-school chess championship
The three-day championship was held for six age groups and 14 schools participated, with 370 students in total

The Chess Association of Maldives has on Sunday concluded their inter-school championship. 

The three-day championship was held for six age groups and 14 schools participated, with 370 students in total. 

The under-12 champions being Ghiyaasuddin School, under-14 champions being Dharumavantha School, and under-16 champions being Majeedhiyya School. 

Under-18 first place winners are students from Thaajuddin School. 

The Chess Association has also held a competition for parents and teachers, with a category especially for women. 

The parent-teacher association from Majeediyya School won the ‘open-category’ for this competition, while Ghiyaaduddin won the the women’s category.
