Acting Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed has said that the public has concerns regarding the police service’s investigative authorities.
Speaking to officers of the crime investigation command, CP Hameed said that investigations should be considered a service that the police provide to the citizens.
Highlighting that police investigations are closely linked to the public, he said that due to people’s concerns over investigations, the police service is working to improve its procedures and methods with the participation of the citizens.
He also asked that investigative officers strive to uphold their professionalism despite the current difficulties faced by the investigative departments.
Those who participated in the meeting include executive and senior officers as well as the heads and employees of the crime investigation command.
