Tickets for national football team’s goalkeeper Imran Mohamed’s retirement match will begin selling on Thursday.
The retirement match will be held on Sunday.
Imran, considered the country's best goalkeeper, will be choosing his teammates while Football Association of Maldives (FAM) will be picking the players in the opposing team.
Ticket prices will be MVR 100 for front-row seats and MVR 50 for the back-row. FAM is set to give a part of the ticket sales to the charity of Imran’s choosing, which is the Blind and Visually Impaired Society of Maldives.
Former Real Madrid player Michel Salgado and award-winning goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel are set to play in the match along with renowned Maldivian players.
Salgado arrived in Maldives on Tuesday while Schmeichel is set to arrive on Thursday and the two will also be joining the Maldives Football Awards on Friday.
For his team, Imran chose players who had been his teammates when he first began playing in the national team in 2000 and also players from the team that had won the 2008 SAFF Championship.
