Islands in northern and southern atolls to experience heavy rain: MET Office

Some islands in the northern and southern atolls of the Maldives will experience heavy rain in next 24 hours, the Maldives Meteorological Center (MET Office) has said.

MET Office stated that weather conditions are expected to remain this way until 8:00pm on Saturday.

The center expects winds to gust from 8 to 16 miles per hour in the south, and 10 to 20 miles per hour in the northern regions.

Seas are expected to be moderate.
