The Maldivian opposition’s presidential and vice-presidential candidates are to hold a campaign event in capital city Malé after a string of visits to the outlying atolls.
Presidential candidate Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and his running mate Faisal Naseem will be meeting supporters at the Jumhooree Party headquarters in Malé. The event will begin at 9:30pm.
While a campaign event is to be held on Wednesday night, the Joint Opposition has asked the government for a space to hold a mass rally this weekend.
The parties have asked the Housing Ministry to give them adequate notice of whether or not the space has been given to them.
