President Yameen will work to commit electoral fraud: MDP Chair

President Abdulla Yameen will work to commit electoral fraud in September’s presidential election, says Hassan Latheef, the chairperson of Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP).
Speaking during his visit to K. Gaafaru with the opposition running mate, the MDP chairperson said that the members of the opposition coalition needs to stop President Yameen from committing electoral fraud.
Latheef advised the opposition to have their own observers and monitors closely watch over ballot boxes on election day and urged people to re-register before voting.
The people of Gaafaru island prepared a warm welcome for the opposition coalition’s running mate Faisal Naseem. Upon his arrival, Faisal who had gone door-to-door in the island to meet with the residents.
He is accompanied by MDP chairperson Latheef, Jumhooree Party deputy leader Dr. Hussain Rasheed, Adhaalath Party vice president Ali Zahir, and other senior opposition members.
