A sickly foreigner onboard a fishing vessel on the Maldives Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) has been taken to Haa Dhaal atoll Kulhudhuffushi with the aid of Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF)'s Northern Area Coast Guard Squadron.

According to the MNDF, Sri Lankan Coast Guard had shared details of the incident to the MNDF Coast Guard's Maritime Rescue Coordinaton Center (MRDC) late noon on the 25th of June.

Officers of the Northern Area Coast Guard Squadron had set off on Wednesday night on Haa Dhaal atoll Makunudhoo island's sea ambulance and the sickly foreginer had been taken on-board the sea ambulance after nearing the vessel 15 miles north western from Makunudhoo, with the approval from authorities.

The sickly Sri Lankan national, 52, was taken to Kulhuduffushi Hospital around midnight on Wednesday.
