EC receives complaints of voter's list including names of deceased, underage
The commission has received a total of 34 complaints, member Ahmed Akram said
Some of the complaints include concerns over the 'small' window given to submit complaints
Akram also said that any disputes over their response to complaints can be settled through the High Court

The Elections Commission announced Monday that they have received complaints over their list of eligible voters for the upcoming elections carrying names of individuals who are deceased or underage.

Ahmed Akram, a member of the commission, said in an interview to local news station SunTV that they have thus far received 34 complaints thus far.

Akram also claimed that some of said complaints are over the duration of the window for submitting complaints, which was set from 11th to 20th June.

The commission member said that they would respond to complaints within a period of five days after the deadline for submission expires on Wednesday. Akram also said that any disputes over the response can be settled through the High Court.

The Elections Commission’s vote’s list for the upcoming presidential elections include a total of 263,183 names.
