Former Vice President Mohamed Jameel Ahmed has met with Anwar Ibrahim, leader of Malaysia’s ruling Pakatan Harapan.
The self-exiled former vice president met the Malaysian politician during Anwar’s ongoing trip to the United Kingdom.
Jameel had taken to Twitter to express his sentiments about the meeting, where he described Anwar to be an inspiring leader who empathizes with the Maldives.

Jameel is currently leader of the Maldives United Opposition and is an immensely vocal supporter of the Joint Opposition, a coalition of incumbent president Abdulla Yameen’s poltiical opponents.
