MTCC says Inguraidhoo harbour project is nearly complete

The project will extend the island’s harbour by 750 feet

Up to about 90 percent of the project to extend the harbour in Inguraidhoo island in Raa atoll is complete, the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced.

Currently, the MTCC said its workers are conducting the dredging process to lay the harbour and it will be complete by July 15th.

Remaining work include; placing L-Blocks – of which 81 percent is complete, building the breakwater – of which 72 percent is complete, and laying pavement bricks – of which about only 25 percent is complete.

The project will extend the island’s harbour by 750 feet.
