Sheikh Zaid asks government to restore preaching privileges

Sheikh Ali Zaid has asked the Ministry of Islamic Affairs to lift his suspension, imposed earlier this week.
The popular scholar said in a post on his Twitter account that the Islamic Ministry had asked him to put forth a request to have said suspension lifted.
In his tweet, Zaid said ‘the ministry has asked me to submit a letter asking for my suspension to be lifted, I have done so and they have said that the suspension will be lifted’.
Zaid was suspended due to an ongoing investigation over allegations against him, although authorities have not revealed any more information on the matter.
