Local PR company Blazon Inc. has announced that they are looking for local artists to design trophies and awards for their upcoming Maldives Business Awards.
Arushad Zuhair, the company’s chief operating officer, said that announcing for local artists was done deliberately to bolster craftsmanship in the Maldives, which works together with their event’s purpose to support local businesses. The deadline for application has been set at June 23rd.
At the event’s launching, Blazon said that the Maldives Business Awards will be held annually and is a ‘platform that recognizes and acclaims businesses who show exceptional performance in their respective fields’.
The Maldives Business Awards will give away 28 awards in multiple categories; including ‘industry excellence, enterprise excellence, individual excellence, and elite awards’.
The event was launched on 23rd May, in a special ceremony where the state’s Registrar of Companies Mariyam Visam was chief guest, who said that such an event is immensely needed and congratulated Blazon.
Blazon’s awards will reportedly be recognized by various state bodies such as the Ministry of Economic Development, and the Ministry of Finance and Treasury, the Maldives Monetary Authority, Junior Chamber International Maldives, and the Maldives Media Institute.
Blazon describes itself as a ‘a full-suite public relations, marketing and business development agency’.
