South-Hithadhoo MP Ali Nizar has criticized former Vice President Dr. Mohamed Jameel, after he criticized former President Mohamed Nasheed.

Former Chairperson of the opposition Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) signed on to Jumhooree Party on Saturday. Speaking at a signing ceremony, held in Germany where they are living in exile, the former VP seemed to be talking about Nasheed indirectly, saying that that no one has the right to say that only they can solve the issues in the country.

Dr. Jameel said that problems can only be solved by working together and that opposition parties can only solve the current political situation in Maldives by doing so.

MP Nizar responded via twitter, and accused Jameel of working against every administration despite being in a high level post, and questioned whether he does anything 'for reasons other than self-interest.

Dr. Jameel had also criticized Nasheed for saying that he would ask the public on whether to change the current presidential system to a parliamentary system.
