Boat capsizes near Aarah

A boat has capsized near Kaafu Aarah due to rough seas caused by heavy storms.

The police reported that the boat which keeled over around 11:30 am carried three passengers; two foreigners and a Maldivian.

Furthermore media has been informed that the three individuals who were taken to the hospital for treatment did not suffer from any serious injuries.

Additionally, MET Office has announced a yellow alert for areas between Kaafu atoll and Laamu atoll due to extreme weather and rough seas.
