A van belonging to local airline Maldivian has turned over as it was driven at the Velanaa International Airport. 

The incident occured on the airport's runway at about 10:05 pm on Monday. The driver was the only person in the vehicle during the time of the accident.

We have not received any comments from Maldivian so far.

Police have informed some media stations that the driver did not suffer any serious injuries and that the reason for the vehicle to slither was speeding while the runway was wet due to constant rain. 

Furthermore, the van was damaged during the accident. While the glass at the back was shattered, the front head lights were separated from the vehicle.
