In the state-run utilities company Fenaka Corporation’s efforts to tackle complaints of continuing power outages in the outlying islands, it has installed a 240-watt generator in Meedhoo of Dhaalu atoll.

The generator was installed there on Friday. The island’s local government council has said that the installation has eased their precarious power outage situation.

Meedhoo island has been having sporadic power outages since 11th May. This has been common for a number of other islands as well.
