GDh campaign team, travelled to Madaveli, Hoadedhdhoo, Nadella, Fiyoari, Rathafandhoo and Faresmaathoda, while planning to travel to Thinadhoo for a campaign ceremony

Campaign teams of Former President Mohamed Nasheed who is contesting for the Maldivian Democractic Party's (MDP) ticket to run for Presidential Elections 2018, travels to various islands in Baa atoll and Gaafu Dhaalu atoll.
Both the teams that started their campaign activities on Friday, consist of MDP parliamentarians, prominent MDP politicians as well as other supporters of President Nasheed.

While the team lead by campaign manager and Former Housing Minister Mohamed Aslam left for Gaafu Dhaalu on Thursday night and kicked off the campaign from GDh Madaveli, the team in Baa that started their activities in Baa Dhonfanu was lead by Member of Parliament (MP) for Hithadhoo Dhekunu Constituency Ali Nizar.
Additionally, the team campaigning in various islands in Gaafu Dhaalu atoll, travelled to Hoadedhdhoo, Nadella, Fiyoari, Rathafandhoo and Faresmaathoda, while the team in Baa travelled to Dhonfanu, Eydhafushi and Thulhaadhoo on Friday, as well as Kudarikilu, Dharavandhoo, Maalhoi and Kamadhoo on Thursday. In addition to other activities, they held a grand campaign ceremony in Thulhaadhoo last night.

More activities carried out under the 'Jazeera Raees' campaign include President Nasheed 'meeting' the public through skype, the team briefings MDP senior officials on the islands regarding the campaign trail and providing more information to the public about the candidacy, as well as supporters signing endorsement forms. Furthermore, campaign posters have also been put out in both the atolls.
GDh team also plans on travelling to GDh Gadhdhoo, Vaadhoo and Thinadho today where another campaign ceremony is organized for tonight. People from all over the atoll are expected at the ceremony.
As more teams are active in capital city Male' and other islands in Kaafu atoll, another team is currently campaigning in Gaafu Alif (GA) atoll. The GA campaign trail is planned for Dhevvadhoo, Kolamaafushi, Villingili, Maamendhoo, Nilandhoo, Dhaandhoo, Kondey, Gemanafushi and Kanduhulhudhoo. Moreover, the campaign team in GA also plans on joining the ceremony held in GDh Thinadhoo on 19th May, Saturday.
