Elections Commission members
A national advisory committee has been formed for this year’s presidential election.
It is mandated by law to have a committee advising the Elections Commission (EC) on the election.
The committee will have 17 members: 10 from the state institutions, six from the political parties, and one from an organization.
EC member Ahmed Akram said the committee will have members from opposition parties MDP and JP and that its first meeting will be on Tuesday.
