In-patients in a ward at the state-run Hulhumalé Hospital have been switched to another after a sewer overflow reached the premises on Friday.
Ashiya Solih, a spokesperson at the Aasandha Company, told RaajjeMV that the sewer streams reached the premises through its lavatories.
Ashiya did not reveal the total number of patients that were moved.
The hospital’s maintenance team are active in resolving the issue.
