Former President Mohamed Nasheed's book, 'Ebbasvevey Inqilab' was inaugurated on Wednesday.

The title translates to 'Agreeable Revolution'. 

The book was inaugurated by Ahmed Ali Naseer, one of President Nasheed's colleagues from the news publication 'Sangu', at a ceremony held at Maafannu Dheefaam-aage on Wednesday. 

While speaking at the event, Naseer said that he believes writers who do historical research to be the ones who pave the way for the rest of the people. 

He said that the reduction in the number of people curious about the history today is 'disheartening', adding that he hoped that people who are interested in history finds Nasheed's book both 'informative and useful'.

'I noticed his interest in history even back then. Mohamed Nasheed really cared about historic events and therefore did a lot of research while raising plenty of questions', said Naseer, speaking on his professional experience with President Nasheed. 

President Nasheed's family member Zuhaira read several extracts of his book focusing on Maldivian history at the event. 

Popular history authors, such as Mohamed Waheed who has published numerous historical novels, as well as history enthusiasts attended the event. 

'Ebbasvevey Inqilab' is sold for 100 MVR and is available in most of the bookshops in the capital.
