Local political party hires contract man to attack RaajjeTV's COO Hussein Fiyaz
The individual was offered 140,000 MVR as the contract money for the task
He was assigned to stab any body part of COO Hussain Fiyaz
Two well-known politicians were present when the task was assigned

RaajjeMV received confirmed information that a group of members belonging to a well established political party assigned an individual to stab their Chief Operating Officer (COO) Hussain Fiyaz Moosa.

The statement released by the media station mentioned that the task was assigned to a young man who was offered 140,000 MVR for the job. Information received by RaajjeMV confirms that the individual was taken to an office where he was assigned to stab any body part of COO Fiyaz. The statement also said that two well-known politicians were present at the location when the task was entrusted.

Furthermore, RaajjeMV stated that such politicians get involved in acts of terrorism so openly because they believe themselves to be above the law. The station added that even though things remain as such right now, they have no doubt that the people who were involved in planning the cruel act will be brought before the court and that justice will be served eventually.

RaajjeMV's statement said that they believe this to be one of the lowest, scariest, most dangerous and unislamic acts carried out by anyone to undermine the station. The statement also explained that even though RaajjeMV has been torched once, fined with hefty sums based on illegitimate allegations and their staff have been unlawfully arrested in the past, the news of one of the senior staff being subjected to harm is utterly concerning for the station.

RaajjeMV also said that planning to harm the station's COO Fiyaz adds to issues regarding press freedom and brings fear into the minds of journalists. In addition to which RaajjeMV mentioned that they will continue to publish news and remain in service to the people of Maldives.
