Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has aimed to reduce its pending cases to below 500 before the end of the year, says its president Hassan Luthufee.

At a ceremony held on Tuesday on National Anti-Corruption Day, ACC president Luthufee said that employees have been requested to speed up the pace of their investigations.

The guest of honor at the ceremony was Dr Abdulla Nazeer, state minister at the ministry of education. At the ceremony, Nazeer noted the importance of gaining education and training opportunities in anti-corruption and also said that employees should remain steadfast in their work, as fighting against corruption will not get them the approval of people.

While the work is not easy, he said that it was the responsibility of employees to work honestly and diligently.

At the ceremony, ACC released a book on 2017’s statistics, and volume 4 of Bithufangi Bulletin 2.
