The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has announced an ongoing project to establish a fuel farm at the Velanaa International Airport, with a capacity to store 45 million litres.
The MACL said that that this project is part of their work to develop the facilities and services available at Maldives’ primary airport.
The company said that the farm will have three tanks, all 37 metres in diameter. The farm will be used mainly for storing jet fuel but can hold some amount of fuel and diesel as well.
As part of this development initiative, the MACL had also reconstructed their storage area.
