Justice Ali Hameed on trial for allegedly 'starring' in an inappropriate video
This allegation was taken into court after arresting Justice Ali Hameed
Police have nothing to say regarding the case
JSC has previously decided not to investigate this issue

Supreme Court Justice Ali Hameed is on trial for allegations of being in a video which displays indecent behavior with a woman.

A trusted source confirmed that the issue is now being investigated, and mentioned that the case was taken to court after arresting Justice Ali Hameed on 6th February subsequent to the declaration of the state of emergency.

Maldives Police Services (MPS) reported that they don't have anything to say regarding the matter. Meanwhile the police is investigating the case again, which has already been looked into by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC). However, JSC decided to withdraw the case in March last year.

Justice Ali Hameed was previously summoned to MPS on the same allegations of being in an obscene video. And parliament member Alhan Fahmy, who was alleged with corruption and blackmail, was also summoned to the station for questioning.
