National Doctors' Day celebrated by cleaning Malé city

Doctors cleaning up Male\' to celebrate National Doctors\' Day
Practicing doctors in Malé carried out a city-wide clean up on Friday, 13th April and collected about 1.7 tonnes of waste in celebrations of National Doctor's Day.
This activity commenced near Malé track area at 5:45 am with around 70 doctors.
They collected waste while stopping at different areas of Malé during a 5km run that was organized by Maldives Medical Association (MMA).
In reference to the activity Maldives Medical Association (MMA) noted that the purpose of it was to encourage doctors to exemplarily follow their own advice of a healthy and active lifestyle.
MMA also mentioned their plans to conduct sports tournaments to celebrate National Doctors' Day, in addition to a special dinner night organized for April 18th.
Doctors' Day will be celebrated nation-wide on 18th of April every year.
