The name plate of President Abdulla Yameen now has the word ‘expired’, says North Henveiru MP Abdulla Shahid.
Speaking at the Joint Opposition ceremony in HA Ihavandhoo on Friday night, the lawmaker said that the opposition will only stop their reform work after cutting off the word ‘President’ from President Yameen’s name.
Regarding the recent confiscation of opposition flags, Shahid said that for every tree authorities cut down, two new flags will be raised on other ones, and that the pulse of every citizen grows stronger every time a flag is raised.
Shahid said that President Yameen’s rule is a sin according to Islam.
He also accused President Yameen of trying to stop the citizens from speaking out.
