Joint Opposition is to hold a special gathering in Ihavandhoo of Haa Alif Atoll on Friday night.
Senior members of the opposition parties, including parliamentarians, will be joining the gathering at 9pm.
Those joining the gathering include Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s parliamentary group leader Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, former speaker Abdulla Shahid, Ihavandhoo MP Mohamed Abdulla, Kendhoo MP Ali Hussain, Villingili MP Saud Hussain, and Thimarafushi MP Mohamed Mustafa.
A gathering in Ihavandhoo of Haa Alif Atoll was scheduled for February 2 but was postponed due to the political turmoil after the Supreme Court on February 1 ordered the release of political prisoners and reinstatement of MPs.
