Parliament member for South-Galolhu constituency Ahmed Mahloof has been transferred to Maafushi island prison from Dhoonidhoo island prison.
Speaking to RaajjeMV, Mahloof's wife Nazra Naseem said she was informed of her husband's transfer to Maafushi prison on Saturday.
After she had received the call from Dhoonidhoo custodial, she had tweeted her gratitude for receiving the information. Nazra said that Mahloof was transferred to Maafushi after his remand hearing on Friday where he was issued 5 more days in confinement.

The MP was arrested on the 22nd of February for partaking in anti-government protests. Today marks the 37th day of his incarceration
Mahloof has been remanded for an additional five days and while terror charges have been raised against him, he is also facing three other charges.
