Pro-government lawmakers are in a meeting at the parliamentary premises in capital city Malé, in order to issue a three-line whip ahead of the sitting scheduled for Tuesday.
The sitting has been scheduled for 01:00 PM and voting on the anti-defection bill and the government proposed amendment to the law on judges has been put on the agenda.
At Monday’s sitting, lawmakers had deliberated on said proposals.
The anti-defection bill was proposed by Villimalé MP Ahmed Nihan and the amendment to the Judges Act was proposed by Fonadhoo MP Abdul Raheem Abdulla.
