The housing ministry’s two political coordinators have been dismissed.
RaajjeTV understands that the coordinators are Ajwad Mohamed and Nasir.
The ministry did not release a public statement on their dismissal.
This comes at a time of political turmoil in Maldives after the government refused to obey a Supreme Court order to free nine political prisoners and reinstate 12 opposition MPs. The government has fallen into further scrutiny after it declared and then extended the ongoing State of Emergency. This has led to numerous arrests and resignations of government officials.
