The expatriate victim of Tuesday’s fire in capital city Male’ has died in hospital.

The victim was in M Sithaaraa house’s second floor when the fire began in the kitchen downstairs, and later died during treatment at IGMH.

The police media officer confirmed his death but did not disclose details.

The fire and rescue service received report of the fire at 3:39pm and put out the fire at 4:51pm.
